Hello and welcome to Creekside. This site is under development. Earlier I had stated thats since I was no longer a professional web developer, and haven't been for several years, that I had no problem with publishing a less than professional product. I think I've been back at this long enough now so this site should be more advanced in style and function thus I'm working on mobile brower support and other features. I've set up my blog; other features and apps will follow. This site is built on the Django platform and deployed to AWS via Zappa.
I'm getting the hang of the Django platform and brushing up on Python and JavaScript as I go. I will be talking about this journey as I move along. I'll stray off with other technology topics and certainly take note of current events. When I do, I'll try to discuss ideals and ideas and leave the mudslingin' to other sites.
As you can see we're making the move to ASP.NET. Nothing against Django by any means, but it's just good to shake things up every once and a while.
ASP.NET MVC gives you a powerful, patterns-based way to build dynamic websites that enables a clean separation of concerns and gives you full control over markup for enjoyable, agile development.
NuGet is a free Visual Studio extension that makes it easy to add, remove, and update libraries and tools in Visual Studio projects.
